Mid-Level Designer

Responsible for concept, execution, and production of print and web design and presentation of design work in client meetings. I worked closely with several creative directors, user experience designers, and oversaw the work of junior designers and interns.

Hawkblade Studios

2007-2008

Junior Designer

hawkblade studio is a fashion and footwear design studio run by guy marshall. While working there I performed contract work as a Footwear designer for Phat Farm, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ariat International. I also created a series of illustrations for the Guy Marshall clothing line, which will be printed on clothing and laser cut on handbags.

North Carolina Museum of Art

2005-2007

Intern/Designer

While at NCMA I worked on a research project for the marketing department about the evolving role of museums in communities. I also designed the logo for Blue Ridge, The Museum Restaurant. One of the more fun things I did while working there was picking up musicians from the airport and escorting them around Raleigh. I among the many artists I had the pleasure of hanging out with were, Los Lobos, Doc Watson, Ozomatli, Salif Keita, Jeff Tweedy, Allen Toussaint, and the Avett Brothers.

NCSU College of Design

2005-2009

Bachelor of Graphic Design

The Graphic Design department at the College of Design is nationally recognized for the quality of its program, the contributions of its faculty and the capabilities of its graduates. Students begin study in the discipline in the freshman year, and matriculate through a series of core, topic, and focus studios. The unique “in-residence” classroom structure grounds an open culture of exchange that fosters creative responses to a range of topical design issues.
